| Legendary Pot Publications Classic Marijuana Magazines ![]() Started with pot-smuggling money by underground media pioneer Tom Forcade, High Times enjoyed a glorious and subversive run until Forcade's suicide in 1978, shortly after he and a film crew followed the Sex Pistols on their violent American tour. The magazine has survived, and now is positioned to reap huge financial rewards from the exploding pot industry. ![]() This issue of short-lived and way underground Head magazine from May 1977 has an article called "How To Make Acid At Home." Shows how permissive things were back in the 1970s, a golden age for smut and dope magazines unafraid to dose the reader with radical politics: High Times, National Lampoon, Hustler, Screw and, for a brief shining moment, Head. ![]() Sinsemilla Tips was published from 1979-1990. It's got a rustic hippie look and was kind of a trade magazine for pot growers. (Vol 2 #2, Summer 1981) ![]() Imprisoned 52-year-old Canadian pot activist Marc Emery's Cannabis Culture was a physical magazine from 1995 until March 2009 when it went "online-only." On the cover of this issue (#69, October 2008) is Marc's lovely 31-year-old wife Jodie.
