West Seattle Medical Pot Providers Branch Out An interview with the good folks of G.A.M.E. Collective In November Mary Jane and some friends visited the G.A.M.E. Collective folks at their West Seattle location. G.A.M.E. opened its doors July 1st of 2010 and has been growing steadily since then. They and their medical arm, Green Piece Alternative Medicine, have been advertising in the local media and signed on to help sponsor our Winter 2011 issue. Brionne: I wouldn't say it's a glut. There's a lot of it. There's a lot of good medicine going around Washington now, at least in Western Washington. Suppliers are coming from everywhere. MJ: That's good news. Brionne: It's really good news. MJ: There's some talk of tight supplies in Colorado, providers having trouble keeping up with demand. Brionne: We're not having that problem here.
"There's a lot of good medicine going around Washington now."
MJ: Are you hosting a really big event in 2011?Terry: Yes, for patients to meet suppliers. Brionne: You gotta have your Medical Marijuana card to attend. MJ: That's pretty bold. Dare I ask: are there gonna be people there ... government people? Brionne: If they got a card they can get in. I see the surplus, we all see the surplus, and the best thing for these guys, instead of having them going from place to place to place trying to get rid of their stuff, let's just get them in one place. It's called the Emerald City Green Cup. MJ: The Northwest Leaf is looking really good in November, is there an ad in there for the Green Cup? Brionne: It will be in December, the winner will be featured in Northwest Leaf too. We'll have tickets on sale December 1. Here's Northwest Leaf (holds up one of Seattle's new pot publications), November is looking really good. Then we have the THC List ... MJ: I like that format, small and glossy. THClist.com. Brionne: And then the Mary Jane. I'm in love with Mary Jane. Keith: I like some of the cartoons. MJ: The Stranger, too, is an awesome outlet (for medical pot advertising). Brionne: Seattle Weekly, Little Nickel ... MJ: The Little Nickel ... did you get any response? Brionne: Yeah. MJ: If you got any response at all I'd say it's worth it, then. You guys have grown explosively, right? Brionne: We've been putting in the work, too. Getting our name out there: Green Piece and G.A.M.E. Collective. Terry: We also got a Green Piece fund for the terminally ill, those who aren't able to get a Medical Marijuana card, we subsidize that. Our Federal Way location and all the others have full wheelchair access. MJ: Are you doing a movie? Brionne: A documentary: we went and videotaped Paul Stanford and Steve Sarich, and we went to different events and stuff like that. It's called "The House that Mary Jane Built." You can search YouTube for the three-minute trailer for that. It has all been shot and it's going to be edited to 45 minutes. MJ: On Facebook people are not paranoid anymore. They are out there like, "Here's the plants I'm growing, here's me in the picture with the plants." Keith: The scene's blown up. MJ: 2010 was really the year for Seattle. Any final words before I bail here? Brionne: Come on in, we want you to feel at ease and feel at home ... we want to provide you with the best medicine. by Mary Jane- editor@wildworldnews.com See YouTube for Mary Jane Magazine interviews Seattle's G.A.M.E.
